So after just getting off a cruise ship with food so terrible they made the Chef preparing Continental Airlines trays seem like Emeril Lagasse, all I needed was something fresh and clean.

Nothing processed, no heavy sauces, and no freezer burn. Well, we were strolling up Lincoln Road and Maya's menu caught our eye. I can sum it all up with "wonderful simplicity." Everything was modestly seasoned, extremely fresh and prepared in a way to showoff their ingredients, not mask them. The avocado salad was fantastic and the spicy beef was also superb.

A pitcher of sangria (get the half pitcher, its enormous) can keep you there for a good part of the afternoon while you take in the Miami sun and the Lincoln Road foot traffic. PS, Evan our waiter could not have been any better (THANKS EVAN!).
